Menorca’s Beach Beauty: Top Spots for Sunseekers

Menorca's beaches and coves (calas) are pure paradise, which is why I've been back time and time again!

You should be very excited about them if you're going soon. But which ones will you visit?

The best and most popular white sand beaches are on the south coast, like Cala Macarella, Son Bou, and Cala Mitjana. However, the remote and rust-hued beaches of the north, such as Cala Pregonda, are equally breathtaking. Before you map out your beach-hopping adventure, keep these points in mind:

  1. If you're here for just a week or two, you won't be able to visit all the best beaches.

  2. Where you stay on the isla nd significantly impacts the beaches you can visit without your own transport.

  3. Menorca's beaches fall into three categories: 'Tourist Zone', 'Park + Walk', and 'Remote'.

  4. The best virgin beaches are secluded, set within nature, have no facilities, and are only accessible on foot.

Kerry's top tip: A great way to reach these beaches is by taking a half or full-day boat trip. These trips often include swimming, snorkelling, lunch, and access to some of the most famous beaches on the south or north coast. They depart from various place son the island. Let me know of you fancy booking a trip and I'll make sure I recommend one with a great safety record that goes to somewhere you'll love.
