Money And Power in Menorca

Money

The currency on Menorca is the euro.

It’s worth having some cash with you as a lot of small shops and cafes or restaurants won’t accept cards. The best place to exchange some money is through an ATM that can be found in most villages.

As in the whole of the Balearics, you have to pay a sustainable tourism tax; it adds €1 to €4 per person per night, depending on the type of accommodation. Under-16s are exempt and there are low-season discounts.

Power

The power plugs and sockets are of type C and F (with two round pins). The voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. Check out this link for more information.
