How I Met Kerry

When I met Kerry at a networking event a few months ago, I immediately warmed to her. It probably helped that it was a “netwalk” so I was in a good mood because I love walking in beautiful places; in this case round the gorgeous Delamere Forest Lake in Cheshire. The fact that we’d both chosen to attend a networking event where jeans and muddy boots are the recommended attire meant we were already on the same wavelength!

Talking to Kerry

Kerry immediately struck me as a warm and approachable person with a friendly manner and a good sense of humour. She was also clearly passionate about travel. Kerry is my type of person! It quickly became apparent that Kerry has travelled extensively and to many interesting locations. She doesn’t just talk the talk , she also walks the walk. When she describes a holiday destination her passion and depth of knowledge soon gives away the fact that she has been there in person.

Kerry doesn’t just promote the obvious destinations. She has a wealth of knowledge of some lesser-known gems and can make personal recommendations. Fancy somewhere warm, exotic and an assault on the senses? Kerry might recommend wandering round the fascinating Jemaa el Fna in Marrakesh. Want to wear out some lively kids on a summer activity holiday with a difference? Kerry will tell you that in the Austrian Alps you can paddleboard in your swimsuit in the morning and toboggan on snow in the afternoon! Maybe you’d prefer a romantic winter break? A frosty stroll round Prague followed by spiced wine in the Christmas market will be perfect.

So when I needed inspiration for a long weekend away I knew that I could trust Kerry to suggest something a bit different and exactly to my taste (and budget!). I normally do the research and booking myself, but I realised Kerry would save me time and money as well as coming up with ideas I simply wouldn’t have found by myself.

How did it work?

First I told Kerry places I’d loved visiting before and what type of activities I enjoy. Then I gave her dates and a budget. That was it! I expected her to come back with one or two good suggestions, but I was blown away by the care she took and the level of detail! She suggested three superb options which met the brief. She sent me a voice recording describing each destination, the accommodation and why she thought I’d love it. She recommended things to do and places to visit while there. She sent links to all the details so I could look at the photos and descriptions online. She even included a video tour of each destination!

This is the thing. Kerry knows her stuff, she genuinely loves researching holidays for people and

SHE GOES THE EXTRA MILE!

So thank you Kerry, I’m so glad I found you. I can’t wait for my trip away! And I might even send you a postcard!
